On June 11, Engine 65 was dispatched to a reported medical emergency located in Council District 3.  Upon

         arrival, firefighters found a pulse-less and apneic 6 month old infant. The patient was immediately loaded
         into  the  AMR  ambulance  for  transport.  While  enroute,  firefighter  paramedic  assisted  in  patient  care  by
         providing  Cardiopulmonary  Resuscitation  (CPR)  and  aggressive  Advance  Life  Support  (ALS)  interventions.
         Patient care was transferred to RUHS Emergency Room staff.





         On  June  29,  Engine  6  responded  to  a  reported  residential  structure  fire  with  victims  trapped  located  in
         Council District 2. The first arriving engine company reported heavy smoke and fire coming from a second
         story  window  of  the  single  family  dwelling.    Firefighters  found  two  victims  outside  of  the  structure.
         Firefighters quickly deployed a coordinated fire attack and searched for any occupants within the structure.

         The fire was contained to one bedroom on the second floor. One victim with minor burns was transported to
         Riverside University Health Systems (RUHS). The second victim was treated on scene and refused additional
         medical assistance. Red Cross was called to assist with two men and one adult woman who were displaced

         from the residence. No firefighters were injured.






         Police Department


         Case Of The Month

         On June 21, 2017, officers located a victim near the intersection of Indian Street and Ironwood Avenue who
         had been stabbed several times. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
         Detectives  were  called  out  to  the  scene  and  assumed  the  investigation.  The  investigation  revealed  the
         suspect  and  victim  got  into  an  argument,  which  resulted  in  the  victim  being  stabbed.  After  a  lengthy
         investigation, which included multiple interviews and crime scene processing, detectives authored a search
         warrant for a nearby residence where they arrested the suspect for attempted murder.




         Patrol


         Patrol officers responded to 15,454 calls for service during the month of June.

         On  June  12,  2017,  officers  from  the  Moreno  Valley  Police  Department  responded  to  the  intersection  of
         Frederick  Street  and  Bay  Avenue.  Several  911  calls  were  placed  from  the  intersection  to  911  operators
         threatening law enforcement officers. Officers located the suspect near the intersection of Alessandro Blvd.
         and Graham Street where he was arrested for misuse of the 911 system.
