• An Administrative Plot Plan was submitted for addition of shade canopy to existing Food 4 Less fuel
center kiosk. The project is located at 12250 Perris Boulevard in City Council District 3.
• An Administrative Plot Plan was submitted to install a roof mounted solar system for a multi-family
project located at 12318 Lamos Place in City Council District 1.
• A Plot Plan was submitted to increase the height of a warehouse building located at Indian Street and
Grove View in City Council District 4.
• An Amended Plot Plan was submitted for First Nandina Logistics Center to expand the truck/trailer
parking lot area south onto an adjoining parcel and create 114 additional trailer parking spaces. Also,
a new driveway is proposed at Heacock Street in the location of vacated Grove View Lane with a guard
shack and gate at the entrance to the parking area. The project is located east of Heacock at vacated
Grove View Lane in City Council District 4.
• An Administrative Plot Plan was submitted for above ground storage fuel tanks. The project is located
at 17100 Perris Boulevard in City Council District 4. The applicant is First Industrial.
• An Amended Conditional Use Permit was submitted for modifications to the cell site at the Elsworth
Park Ballfield replacing three previously installed antennas. The project is located at 13051 Elsworth
Street in City Council District 5.
• A Pre-Application was submitted for Fairfield Hotel for a 106 room hotel. The project is located at Day
Street and Eucalyptus Avenue in City Council District 2.

Other Highlights
• Staff is reviewing a Notice of Availability of a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the City of
Riverside. The project is the Sycamore Canyon Business Park and located west of Sycamore Canyon
Boulevard in the City of Riverside.
• Staff is reviewing a Conditional Use Permit for the City of Perris. The proposed project is for
construction of a 2,940 square foot convenience store with fuel canopy over 16 pumps within the new
March Plaza Commercial Center. The project is located at the northwest corner of Harley Knox and
Perris Boulevard.
• Staff is reviewing a Notice of Preparation for a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Veterans
Industrial Park 215. The project is located in Riverside County within March Joint Powers Authority.
• Staff has reviewed a high-cube warehouse for the City of Perris and provided written comments to the
agency. The project is located on approximately 21.3 acres located within the PVCC Specific Plan.
• Staff is reviewing a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the California Department of Water
Resources. The project is for Perris Dam Emergency Release Facility. DWR proposes to modify Perris
Dam’s existing emergency release structure and construct a water conveyance facility that would
reliably control a reservoir release and convey emergency flows from Lake Perris in the event of an
emergency drawdown.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

ICSC – WESTERN REGIONAL RETAIL CONFERENCE

ICSC (International Conference of Shopping Centers) is the largest trade organization for the commercial
retail industry. ICSC hosts an annual convention for the southwest U.S. region that provides networking,
deal making and educational opportunities. The annual 2016 Southwest Region Conference was held
from August 30 to September 1.

Staff from the Economic Development Department (EDD) hosted a booth at the ICSC Southwest Region
conference to aggressively market the City and pursue potential retail, restaurant, and hotel tenants for the
City. Staff conducted over fifty meetings during the conference with potential tenants, leasing representatives,
property owners, and commercial developers, promoting the advantages of opening a Moreno Valley location.
