   A new air conditioning system was installed at the Senior Community Center.

              The 3  Annual Father’s Day Golf Tournament was held on June 1 at the   Cotton-
             wood Golf Center.  There were 11 senior participants and their kids playing a
             round of golf and barbeque.

            The second Annual Juneteenth Celebration was held on June 22.  Seniors  enjoyed
             live entertainment from the Center’s Radio Pioneer class, a performance from Ana
             Christiansen, and the great sounds of the DJ Dancercise instructor Rita. The
             seniors enjoyed a nice lunch of pulled pork and macaroni and cheese. There were
             140 seniors in attendance.


             The Senior Community Center held a “Seniors Got Talent” event on
             June 27. Eight seniors performed routines including singing, dancing and
             poetry. Humana sponsored the event.

            The Sunshine Social Club decorated tee shirts, celebrated birthdays, and
             held the Sunshine Social Club Prom.



         Grant Program


         A Child’s Place

            A Child’s Place Summer Camp children have been exceptionally busy this summer attending weekly
             field trips that include the Orange County Zoo and Harkins Theatre.

            Children celebrated the Fourth of July at the sites with a superhero USA theme. Children dressed as their
             favorite superhero and enjoyed a surprise visit from Spider Man who delivered pizza for lunch.



         Parks Maintenance


            Park Maintenance staff completed the following projects:

            Trimmed trees in front of the golf course.

            Repaired wire short on water feature at Celebration Park.

            Added two tee markers at golf course.

            Added mulch to golf course in front planter.

            Installed new weather-based irrigation controllers at Gateway Park.

            Weed abated Morrison Park and Markborough property.


            Repaired areas of artificial turf at Community Park.
