“Five Dollar Fridays” Cat & Kitten Pet Adoption Event Results
During the “Five Dollar Fridays” Cat & Kitten Adoption Event held at the Animal Shelter every Friday in
September and August. A total of 150 cats found a positive outcome during these Friday cat adoption
promotions. Eighty-nine cats were adopted. Sixteen cats were placed with foster families for future adoption
along with 44 cats transferred to one of our cat rescue partners. One cat was reclaimed by the owner.
“Dog Days of Summer” Pet Adoption Event Results

During the Freedom Days Pet Adoption Event held at the Animal Shelter on August 23 – 27 , 82 pets were
adopted (54 family adoptions & 28 rescue adoptions) along with 14 pets that were reclaimed by their owners.
Dogs were adopted by the public for $50 and cats for $15 ($5 on Friday, August 26 during our “$5-Fridays”

cat promotion). These discounted adoption fees were all-inclusive covering the spay-neuter surgery, a
HomeAgain microchip and vaccinations.
“Labor of Love” Pet Adoption Event Results

During the Labor of Love Pet Adoption Event held at the Animal Shelter on September 6 – 10 , 87 pets were

placed (46 family adoptions & 41 rescue adoptions) along with 15 pets that were reclaimed by their owners.
Dogs were adopted by the public for $50 and cats for $15; cats being adopted for $5 on Friday, September 9
th
during our “$5-Fridays” cat promotion.
