Planning Commission
September 8, 2016:

• A Plot Plan was approved to develop 426 multi-family residential units located at the southwest corner
of Alessandro Boulevard and Darwin Drive in City Council District 3. The applicant is Rocas Grandes
Apartments.
• The Planning Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit for a public charter school providing an
independent study program in an existing shopping center near the northeast corner of Alessandro
Boulevard and Frederick Street in City Council District 5. The applicant is Options for Youth.
• The Planning Commission approved continuance of a Tentative Parcel Map to subdivide one legal
parcel into two parcels. The property is developed with existing single family homes. The project is
located at the northeast corner of Jeranella Court and Alessandro Boulevard in City Council District 3.

An Ordinance was reviewed for regulating smoke shop uses. The Planning Commission voted to recommend
approval of the ordinance to the City Council.

Administrative Approvals
The following projects were approved administratively in September:

• An Extension of Time was approved for a Conditional Use Permit for a Planned Unit Development to
develop 174 senior single-family residential lots located at the northeast corner of Pigeon Pass Road
and Old Lake Road in City Council District 2. The applicant is Mission Pacific Land Company.
• An Administrative Plot Plan was approved for the construction of a detached three car garage with RV
storage located at 11100 Saddle Ridge Road in City Council District 2.
• An Administrative Amended Plot Plan was approved to modify Conditions of Approval for the First
Nandina Logistics Warehouse project located southeasterly of Nandina Avenue and Heacock Street in
City Council District 4. The applicant is First Industrial, LP.
• An Administrative Amended Plot Plan was approved for modifications relating to the flow of traffic at
the ingress/egress locations and the perimeter fence location and materials for the Oak Parc
Apartment. The project is located on the south side of Box Springs Road, east of Clark Street in City
Council District 2.
• An Administrative Plot Plan was approved to establish a church use within an existing building located
at 22620 Goldencrest Drive in City Council District 5. The applicant is House of Prayer Reformation
Church, Inc.
• An Administrative Plot Plan was approved for a new 3,205 square foot dance studio within an existing
shopping center. The project is located at 12125 Day Street in City Council District 2.

Recent Case Submittals
• A Tentative Parcel Map, General Plan Amendment, Specific Plan Amendment, and a Plot Plan were
submitted for 436 multi-family apartment units on 47.94 acres of land. The project is located at 28095
John F. Kennedy Drive; City Council District 3. The project is proposed on the driving range and a portion
