COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT
As members of the community, MVU staff looks forward
to giving back to the people they serve. Utilizing Public
Purpose funds, MVU sponsors many City events each year
in partnership with the Parks and Community Services
Department. These events allow MVU to engage and
educate both business and residential customers about
utility programs and services. The following are highlights
from fiscal year 2019/2020:
Washington Elementary School Career Day
Snow Day/Holiday Tree Lighting
Moreno Valley Business Expo
SoCal Fair
Harbor Freight Health Fair
Race Across the Base
Independence Day Celebration
Community Health Systems’ Back to School Backpack
Giveaway
Business in Action Chamber Group
MVU also hosts Key Accounts Group meetings twice a year
for major customers to not only share information about
MVU and MVU programs, but also to give customers an
opportunity to network and learn about each other’s
processes and pain points.
