Police ChiefMoreno Valley Welcomes New Police Chief
Moreno Valley welcomes Captain David Kurylowicz as the City’s new Police Chief. He assumes this key leadership position with more than 25 years of law enforcement experience with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. In his new role, Chief Kurylowicz will lead approximately 160 sworn staff and 45 civilian employees who provide a full range of law enforcement services including Patrol, Investigations, Special Enforcement Teams, Burglary/Robbery Suppression, Problem Oriented Policing, Traffic, Crime Prevention, Graffiti Prevention and Community Service Officers. Read the news release...

The City of Moreno Valley is opening a new library at the Moreno Valley Mall. The establishment of the City’s first-ever satellite branch library is the fulfillment of a major City Council priority identified in the “Momentum MoVal” strategic plan. The Notice of Preparation (NOP), stating that an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be prepared, was distributed to the State of California Office of Planning and Research and responsible and trustee agencies on November 13, 2017. The public review period for the NOP will end on January 5, 2018. During the public review period, public agencies, interested organizations, and individuals are asked to comment on the proposed project to identify any environmental issues they believe should be particularly addressed in the preparation of the Draft EIR. PITHelp Conduct the 2018 Homeless Point-in-Time Count for Riverside County
Volunteers are needed to count and survey homeless persons living on the streets within their communities. Volunteers must attend a training session where they will receive instructions on conducting the count and on important safety guidelines. The count and survey will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. On the day of the count, the trained volunteers will meet at 5:30 a.m. at the Cottonwood Golf Center, 13671 Frederick St., Moreno Valley.
