Swim Level Requirements
Not sure which level is right for your swimmer?
Check the requirements for each level below.

Level 1 — Beginner
No experience required.
Level 1 is the perfect starting point for first-time swimmers and
those who want to build comfort in the water. -
Level 2 — Water Comfort & Glide
Level 2 swimmers can:
- Comfortably put their face in the water
- Glide independently 5 — 7 feet
- Roll from a glide to a float on their back
- Jump in the pool and roll onto their back

Level 3 — Independent Movement
Level 3 swimmers can:
- Glide with proper kick technique
- Roll to back for a break
- Return to stomach and kick to the platform
- Jump into the pool, return to the wall, and climb out

Level 4 — Streamline & Side Breath
Level 4 swimmers can:
- Kick in streamline for 15 feet on front and back
- Perform side-breath freestyle unassisted

Level 5 — Stroke Development
Level 5 swimmers can:
- Swim technical freestyle, breathing every 3 strokes for 15 meters
- Swim backstroke for 15 meters
Recreational Swim
Enjoy open swimming from June 22 — August 1. Daily rates apply for all attendees.
Open Swim Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 3:00 p.m. — 5:15 p.m.
- Friday: 3:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 1:30 p.m. — 6:00 p.m.

Splash Pad
Heat-day update: Bethune Park splash pads also open on weekdays when temperatures reach 95° F or higher.
Summer Schedule
Our splash pads are open from May 22 — September 7.

Open 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.
