Celebrate Moreno Valley's Legacy of Service During the 2022 State of the City Address

The community is invited to join Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez and the Moreno Valley City Council as we celebrate Moreno Valley during the 2022 State of the City address on Thursday, August 18 at 11 a.m.
This year’s State of the City theme is “Legacy of Service,” and Mayor Gutierrez will highlight the City of Moreno Valley’s accomplishments in the past year while also giving an exciting preview of what’s to come in the city where dreams soar.
“As we go through life, we inevitably wonder what kind of legacy we’re leaving behind. Moreno Valley’s legacy is defined by service,” said Mayor Gutierrez. “I’m excited to share all the incredible things we have done to serve the people of Moreno Valley, including bolstering our public safety initiatives, attracting world-class businesses, dedicating more parks and trails, and setting aside a historic $50 million toward repaving our roads.”
This year’s ceremony will feature performances from the Canyon Springs High School Choir and the Rancho Verde High School JROTC Drill Team.
The State of the City ceremony will take place in the Conference & Recreation Center’s Grand Valley Ballroom, located at 14075 Frederick Street. The ceremony will also be broadcast live online, on YouTube, and on MV3.

Celebre el Legado de Servicio de Moreno Valley Durante el Discurso del Estado de la Cuidad de 2022
Se invita a la comunidad a unirse al Alcalde Yxstian Gutiérrez y al Concejo Municipal de Moreno Valley para celebrar Moreno Valley durante el discurso sobre el Estado de la Ciudad de 2022 el jueves 18 de agosto a las 11 a.m.
El tema del Estado de la Ciudad de este año es "Legado de Servicio", y el Alcalde Gutiérrez destacará los logros de la Ciudad de Moreno Valley en el último año y al mismo tiempo brindará un anticipo emocionante de lo que vendrá en la ciudad donde los sueños se disparan.
“A medida que avanzamos en la vida, inevitablemente nos preguntamos qué tipo de legado estamos dejando atrás. El legado de Moreno Valley se define por el servicio”, dijo el Alcalde Gutiérrez. “Me emociona compartir todas las cosas increíbles que hemos hecho para servir a la gente de Moreno Valley, incluido el refuerzo de nuestras iniciativas de seguridad pública, la atracción de negocios de clase mundial, la dedicación de más parques y senderos y reservando una cantidad histórica de $50 millones para la repavimentación de nuestras carreteras.”
La ceremonia de este año contará con actuaciones del Coro de la Escuela Secundaria Canyon Springs y el Equipo de Ejercicios JROTC de la Escuela Secundaria Rancho Verde.
