Moreno Valley Provides Cool Centers for Heat-Sensitive Residents
For immediate release: June 10, 2022
When temperatures climb to 97 degrees and above, heat-sensitive residents may seek refuge at the City of Moreno Valley's designated cool centers:
- Cottonwood Golf Center - 13671 Frederick Street
- Moreno Valley Senior Center - 25075 Fir Avenue
- Moreno Valley Public Library - 25480 Alessandro Street
- Moreno Valley Public Library, Iris Plaza Branch - 16170 Perris Boulevard
"The cool center is available to any resident having trouble dealing with extreme heat," explained Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley, "But our main concern is caring for our senior citizens and those with health conditions that may be worsened by the excessively hot weather."
