Moreno Valley Invites Residents to a Virtual
"Community Month of Service"
For immediate release: November 5, 2020
As virus safety restrictions have required the postponement of community clean-up events this year, the City has created some fun virtual beautification events for the month of November that support the community's spirit of volunteerism.
"These creative events combine the City's commitment to civic beautification and our residents' eagerness to help with that ongoing effort," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "These are fun opportunities to make a positive difference for our community."
Keep MoVal Beautiful - Find That Sign!, Nov. 7-30 -- Creates awareness of the currently adopted Keep MoVal Beautiful streets, parks and trails. Residents may win prizes for posting selfies with the signs.
Keep MoVal Beautiful - Residential Awards, Nov. 9-16 -- Awards will be presented to residential single-family homes within the City that capture water-wise landscaping, water-use efficiency, good maintenance practices, cleanliness and curb appeal.
Celebrate America Recycles Day with a Superhero!, Nov. 9-20 -- For the youthful at heart, the EcoHero Show dives deep into environmental topics such as used-oil recycling, beverage container recycling, and litter abatement. Watch the video to find out how each of us can become an EcoHero.
Keep MoVal Beautiful TrashDash - Plogging for Our Community, Nov. 16-24 -- TrashDash is intended to heighten awareness and amplify the benefits of beautifying our community, eliminating litter, and increasing recycling. Plogging is an environmental fitness craze in which people integrate the collection of litter with their jogging workout.

Dado que las restricciones de seguridad contra el virus han requerido la suspensión de los eventos de limpieza de la comunidad este año, la Ciudad ha creado algunos eventos de embellecimiento virtuales divertidos para el mes de noviembre que apoyan el espíritu de voluntariado de la comunidad.

Keep MoVal Beautiful – Encuentra Ese Letrero!, del 7 al 30 de noviembre – Crea conciencia sobre las calles, parques y senderos Keep MoVal Beautiful actualmente adoptados. Los residentes pueden ganar premios por publicar fotos ”selfies” con los letreros.
Keep MoVal Beautiful – Premios Residenciales, del 9 al 16 de noviembre – Los premios se entregarán a los hogares residenciales unifamiliares dentro de la Ciudad que capturen paisajes en el agua, eficiencia en el uso del agua, buenas prácticas de mantenimiento, limpieza y atracción del exterior.
¡Celebre el Día de América Recicla con un Superhéroe!, del 9 al 20 de noviembre – Para los jóvenes de corazón, el espectáculo EcoHero se sumerge en temas ambientales como el reciclaje de aceite usado, el reciclaje de envases de bebidas y la eliminación de basura. Keep MoVal Beautiful TrashDash – “Plogging” Para nuestra Comunidad, del 16 al 24 de noviembre – TrashDash está destinado a aumentar la conciencia y amplificar los beneficios de embellecer nuestra comunidad, eliminar la basura y aumenztar el reciclaje. “Plogging” es una aptitud ambiental en la que las personas integran la recolección de basura con su entrenamiento de correr.
