The Construction and Permits Division ensures construction projects are built safely and in compliance with City Standards thorough inspections, permit enforcement, and professional communication.
The Construction and Permits Division manages permits, provides inspections, and oversees project management of private development and public projects that are within the public right-of-way.
Construction and Permits Division responsibilities include:

Encroachment Permits
Reviews, issues, and enforces permits for any work that encroaches in the public right of way.

Inspection Services
Ensures work complies with project specifications, codes, city standards while maintaining public safety. Also has final approval before improvements are accepted.

Construction Management
Providing management for construction-related projects including public infrastructure, grading, and underground excavations. Also coordinates with other divisions and assists with project oversight.

Utility Coordination
Collaborates with utility companies and other public agencies on all permits, preventing conflicts with public infrastructure and avoiding delays.
