In 2019, Moreno Valley was honored by the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) with the Award of Distinction in the Digital Communications category for the City's acclaimed video series entitled “Mayor’s Minute” hosted by Mayor Gutierrez. In 2017, the City of Moreno Valley received the Silver Circle SAVVY Award for achievement in Graphic Design by the City and County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA). 3CMA is the nation’s preeminent government communications and marketing association. The mission of 3CMA is to Connect local government innovators to achieve the highest ideals of public service through the power of communications and marketing. The award was presented to Moreno Valley for artwork designed for the 2017 State of the City address. These award-winning graphics can be seen throughout Moreno Valley's 2017 State of the City video.
